cityARTescapes

Come aboard to explore hidden gems in and around Seattle! With our cityARTescapes Tour you will get a rare chance to visit beautiful landmarks like Volunteer Park located in the heart of Seattle. This park is home to the Volunteer Park Conservatory, Seattle Asian Art Museum, a historic 1906 water tower, and acres of lush native flowers and trees.

From here hop back on as we head to glassybaby to see artists at work blowing glass. glassybaby was founded by three-time lung cancer survivor Lee Rhodes, whose mission from the beginning has been to help cancer patients with basic daily costs not often covered by health insurance. glassybaby gives back 10% of its sales to a variety of charities. To date, glassybaby has donated more than $2 million dollars to charities dedicated to helping people & the environment heal.

After exploring the delicate art of glass blowing it’s time to hit the beach! We will make a quick stop is Madrona Park and Beach located on the waterfront of Lake Washington. This park is aptly named for the Madrona trees found at the lakeside.  Absorb the breathtaking view of this active waterway. Our next stop is at the I-90 Bridge Overlook Park.  Along the way we will drive through beautiful neighborhoods, home to waterfront and hillside mansions.  The I-90 Overlook Park is located in the Leschi neighborhood above the I-90 bridge where you can see wide-angle views of Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains. This is a great place to snap a picture of the mountains, lake, and the second longest floating bridge on Earth (at 6,620 ft) all in one shot!

Next, you will travel through the Capitol Hill neighborhood; one of the city's most prominent nightlife and entertainment districts as well as the South Lake Union neighborhood, home to Amazon. Finally, we head to the Experience Music Project at the Seattle Center where you can hop off and explore this sprawling, iconic campus.
